I had the same issue with mine in my C6 Base Vert....tried all the standard fixes..."blowing it out with compressed air....using a laser disc cleaner.....etc.
NOTHING worked....until I bought a used unit from a member here....Just had to pay the dealership to marry the unit to the car....Note: I bought a 2009 unit from a local person and the dealership could NOT marry the unit....so make sure that you get a 2005-7 unit....You will hear a lot of responses that you should just go ahead and swap out the unit for a more modern head unit .....but not everyone wants to do that ie. ME
