Default LS3 intake cover

Has anyone installed a two piece LS3 intake/plenum cover? I have one form American Hydrocarbon. It's supposed to go under the fuel rails and the rail covers, mine seems to be too thick and will not fit.

Are you talking about the intake manifold Acoustic Cover (as shown in the photo below) that sets on top of the actual intake manifold ?

If so, have you removed the original acoustic cover ... It needs to be removed in order to install the new cover.

You will notice that you are going to need to remove the fuel rail too since it sets right above the center of the intake manifold acoustic cover.

As you can see by the photo below, the cover attaches to the top of the actual intake manifold:

noderpud ...

How about posting a photo of the part your trying to install.

I see that this is your very first post here on the Corvette Forum .. How about introducing yourself and posting a photo or two of your C6.

Actually, the idea behind this two-piece cover is that you are supposed to be able to install it without taking the fuel rails off. It seems I will have to take the fuel rails off, so if that is the case, I am going to have the stock cover dipped.

Not installing the part American Hydrocarbon is dipping a stock intake manifold acoustic cover.

Yes, I have the covers. I bought mine from RPI. Yes I had to trim mine with a dremel so they would fit under or rather next to the fuel rail. I like them but some trimming was needed.
