Check Coolant level warning
I can't find any visible leaks. I checked the oil and there is no coolant in it (whew!) I felt around the floorboards, and they're dry. I didn't notice any coolant smell in the cabin, so I'm guessing it's not a leaking heater core.
The engine is running at normal temperature - no overheating.
Each time the warning displays, I check, and it loses about an inch of coolant.
Does anyone else have this issue? Any ideas?
If I were losing coolant, I'd use a coolant pressure tester and see where its leaking from.
Instead, it monitoring the time is takes the coolant to warm up, as well as differential changes in the temp.
Hence wide fast swings in the temp reading is going to cause the warning.
Since the coolant temp sensor is in the drivers side head on the front side (top and front side of the motor),

Either you have air in the coolant system that needs to be vacuum bleed out via the reserve tank,
The sensor is on the way out,
Or have a connector corrosion problem.
