Default Phone Pairing Conundrum

What the heck? Just picked up an Arctic White 2013 C6, and first attempted to pair my phone via bluetooth. The response - "Maximum number of devices paired" - so, gave the command "Delete devices", the answer was "No names of devices. Cannot delete". Big Conundrum! How can those be scrubbed from bluetooth memory, so new phones can be paired? Need guidance!! Thx!

This should help

There's more in the owner's manual. Do you have one?

Hi - Thanks very much for your reply and assistance! Yes, I have the manual, and have tried several time to 'delete' the stored numbers. But the response says 'no names' associated with the numbers, and they can't be deleted. There MUST be a method...although I'll keep trying your recommendation. Thx ~ Buzz

Tell it to list the devices.

So when you give the command 'Bluetooth' followed by the command 'list' what information is displayed? And what do you mean by stored numbers? It's been a while since I played with this feature, but I thought each paired phone was given a nickname by the user when it got paired. From that point on you administer the phone using its nickname. Can you take a pic of the display after you give the list command and post it?

So, thanks to the 'piano man' for the guidance to delete old bluetooth phone numbers in the 2013 I just picked up. Your recommendations worked PERFECTLY!! All is good, and new phones have been paired. Thanks again!! That's the beauty of this Forum...everyone is so willing to be of assistance! ~ Buzz

Hey ZSkipper - I have the same issue on my recently acquired 13 GS. How did you end up deleting the old bluetooth phones? Thanks

You need to use the "list" command to get the names of the paired devices.

I tried that, and it goes through all 5 phones and the peoples voice names associated with them, but I still get the message saying no names associated with the devices when I ask for them to be deleted.

100% if they're saved they have to be listed. Go to the list and delete them one at a time.
