Hello everyone.
I know a lot of members shop Crutchfield, and a lot have installed Kenwood DDX9907XR head units. One of the features of this head unit is that it's compatible with iDatalink Maestro RR Interface Module. Has anyone installed one, used one, or have any experience with one?
I'm about to purchase and install a new Kenwood head unit, and I'm wondering if this iDatakink is worth doing at the same time.

Regrettably iDatalink doesn't make an interface that's compatible with the Corvette. There're many of us that wish they did. I have one in my Ford truck though, and in my opinion, they're superior to the PAC interfaces as far as quality. This is from there vehicle search concerning the RR

Yep, the only things iDatalink makes that's compatible with the Corvettes is a steering wheel control and radar detector interfaces, which really don't do you any good for stereo installation. A number of us have sent inquiries to iDatalink asking if they have any plans plan on making one for the Corvette, but it doesn't sound promising that they ever will, which is surprising to me, but oh well. The most commonly used interface on this forum is the PAC RP5-GM11, but there're others that'll work also depending on your system, and the features you want to retain.but oh well. If you need any help selecting an interface for your car, let me know and I'll be glad help you out.

had one in our '16 Wrangler, far superior to the PAC harnesses.

Yep, I think they're so much better built than the PAC's and I thought it was easier to set up than the PAC's. The one in my Ford truck has worked flawlessly, I've had a PAC RP5-GM11 go bad on me, then I found a really good deal on a PAC GM1A-RST so I gave it a try, so far no issues with it, and in my opinion it's better than the RP5, and retains the same features of the RP5 and then some, but it costs more, but like I said. I got a real good deal on it on an internet auction site for $10.

Did you have to change any of the wiring when you switched to the GM1A from the RP-5?

No they basically wired up the same, but they use different connectors, so I had to cut the stereos wiring away from the RP-5, then wire it up to the GM1A.
