OBD sensor and error codes?
My 2006 base showed the "service active handling system" light when I was pulling into a parking spot last week. I haven't seen it since turning the ignition off that day. I was curious to know what may have caused the light and if it needs fixing. Before going to the stealership, I bought the Veepeak OBD sensor and Torquepro app to read any codes. To my surprise, there were no codes present. Any ideas what might cause this? Was the first light just a temporary glitch?

You need to get the codes to make sure which sensor is creating the problem. Many dealers just throw parts at the car because many times they have no idea how to fix it! Just for an example.....Check out www.corvettemechanic.comthey have a post on this and GM had a service bulletin on it at one time-- loose connector in steering column if you have the tilt and extendable steering wheel.. Just google search Active Handling Problem and you will see all of the different approaches to fix the cause of the problem. It's happened a couple of times on my car, and I have just disconnected the battery to reset everything, and it's not come back on for quite some time.
