Default Battery tapered nut thread size

Does anyone know the dia and thread size of the tapered nut on the battery terminals?

Actually, I just bought a 2013 GS.
It came with a pretty decent amp and radio system. I was getting intermittent turn on problems
and found the negative wire to the amp and crossovers was loose.
Whoever installed the system did a decent job. However, they used the existing threads on the battery terminals
to attach the wires for the amp. They used brass nuts and it appears they self threaded onto the studs that are used for
tightening the battery terminals to the posts.
I would really like to find the correct nuts to be able to tighten the amp wiring tightly.

The Dorman replacements are 6mm with 1mm pitch.(M6x1.0) Likely the same as OE.

These are awesome and wish I knew about those a few years back.
I went to the stealership and was told that I had to buy the entire cable and could not purchase just the nuts.
So I ended up taking a M6x1.0 nylon locking nut(due to it's head design) and reversed it and hasn't failed me since but I wish I knew these were out there at that time!

Well I'd suggest changing the power and ground locations to a better place, amps should be grounded to a point as close to the amp as possible. I suggest hooking up the amps positive cable to the positive terminal of the under hood fuse box like shown here instead of the battery itself. This post is directly connected to the battery, and is a much more solid mounting point. This would eliminate the issues you're having at the battery posts. I've had mine mounted this way for a number of years now with no issues, I also use the same post for the positive connection of my battery tender.
