Default Flashing temperature/AC/fan settings

I have a C-6 GS with 20K miles on it... I just got in the car started it and the indicator panel between the two temperature control ***** is flashing. The AC works, the fan works and I can change the temperature.... but the LED indicator area is flashing. I looked in the owners manual... nothing... I turned the car on and off... still flashes..... I drove it 3 days ago... all was good.... the only thing I have done different is put on my NOVA stretch bra..... the same way I always have.... what is going on?

I think I read somewhere that that indicates the outside temp sensor isn't working but could be completely wrong.

What did you mean you just got it started ? Did it have a dead battery ? Did you just charge up the battery, or put a new one in it ?

My 2013 GS Heater & A/C control module will do the same thing from time-to-time. I assume that eventually the LCD screen will go blank when the module fails. I have read several threads on the forum that the cause is improper cold solder joints with the electronic connections on the PCB. I posted a link below that explains the cold solder joint problem in detail.

https://versae.com/avoiding-the-cold...20over%20time.

New modules are no longer available, but rebuilt units can be purchased from several different vendors. OR if you are handy with electronics and capable with a soldering iron, you can rebuild your own module. Sample link below:

Hope this helps...GD

Mine's been doing this for a while, now it's gotten to the point to where it will blow hot air from the driver side and cold air from the passenger, or get stuck on defrost/switch over to floor.

Was able to band-aid it for a while and reset it by pulling the fuse in the passenger floor board and re-setting it. Now that does not seem to help.

It’s the hvac module. They are known to have broken solder joints and do buggy things like this from time to time.
