Ceramic coating
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
On a daily driver, sits outside sort of car, that is a HUGE benefit. Ceramic coating means the car doesn't need washed as often, and it's easier to clean when I do wash it. When it rains out it's like nature washing the car for you. It's a huge perk, and you can get those kinds of great benefits via several spray on products that are quick and easy to use, or via a glass vial product that's not as easy to use but will last longer.
On a garage queen, it's not going to help with dust rejection. If the car is in the garage all the time, you don't need rain, dirt, or grime rejection. A quick blast around towns worth of dust and pollen can be wiped off with a quick detailer in 50 seconds.
Here's the real kicker. There are easier to use products out there. You can get spray version and ceramic infused car washes and all that stuff. And if you're an enthusiast, your probably not gonna not wash or wax your car for 4 years. So why not use an easier to use product, and a ceramic infused wash and wax? You'll get the same benefit and you're gonna be washing it anyways.
The other time I think a real ceramic coating is worthwhile is after doing a full on paint correction, to try to lock that it. Worth remembering though, that ceramic coating is like, microns thick, so it's not going to be an impenetrable wall to prevent minor scratches and swirls from happening.
