muffler replace
Bought an 07 base model coupe that has after market mufflers with high pitch drone. Looking for suggestions on replacing the mufflers only (if possible) with other than stock. Drone is most annoying when accelerating and is really irritating my wife. Thanks for any suggestions except replacing wife Too expensive.

Just did this…car came with a super loud exhaust,bought the NPP exhaust off the classifieds from a fellow member,and the npp in a box all in $800 …it’s perfect. And I have headers and no cats and it’s still super quiet with the valves closed

I second this. I have the same set up. NPP is the best of both worlds. And cheaper than most new axle backs. NPP is factory on mine but I had to replace the mufflers because one was rattling. Got a set on Marketplace for $375 delivered. Plus you can sell what you have, because someone always wants to go louder. You might even be able to trade them.
