Default Transmission overfilled?!?

Working through some kinks on a new-to-me Z06. There are signs of a small leak from the weep hole at the transmission/torque tube. evidence of oil on the bottom of the transmission caked turned dark with dust, heard its called butt rot on a transaxle car. the car shifts perfectly, hasn't leaked any fluid on the floor....unless I jack up the rear. Then I will get a slow drip from the weep hole by the torque tube. I changed the exhaust recently and when the rear was jacked way up it dripped quite a bit. I figured I'd at least top it off for now while I figured out what was up. I leveled the car out on jack stands and opened the fil plug and transmission fluid poured out of it. Maybe 3 or 4 oz. Surprised me as I figured it would be low. I let it slow to a drip then put the plug back in. I ran the car for a bit to circulate the fluid, maybe 30 seconds. The prior owner had the torque tube rebuilt about 2000 miles ago. its a 2006 Z06, was told it has a TR6060 swap.

What could be going on here?

I plan on driving the car a bit and checking the fluid again. Only way to check the fluid is to take the fill plug off and top off correct? How can I check if its the TR6060 in this car?

Thanks all?

Term I’ve seen used for the dirty dusty oil that turns everything black from a leak.

If the fluid flowed out of the fill plug with the vehicle level, then somehow the trans was overfilled. Clean everything & keep watch to see if there's still any leak.
