It seems like every time I take my car out for a drive, some Tesla (usually the model 3 ) owner wants to race or at least speed by me ?? I could care less how fast their car is ! If I wanted a 4 door sedan believe me its would not be a Tesla.
Any one else have this issue ?

I had this happen with a aarivian truck yesterday. I just let him go but he did GO pretty fast!

They are faster....that's why.......UNTIL after the quarter mile.....by the time you get to the half mile you'll catch up. Not something I would do. I have a good friend who has a Model 3 Tesla, and he said he'd love to race me. I have an A & A S/C, LS7 in a base coupe. I told him I would race title for tile from Phoenix to LA, and he won't take me up on it!

To be fair you could beat any of those electric cars with a 98 Corolla 🤣. Until an electric car can recharge in less than 5 mins like a gas car at a pump, I'll never own one or see the appeal

I get that all the time with those, mustangs, challenger are worst, old beaters, etc. Sometime they are wanting to do this in traffic like what wrong with you.Turn the music up I just smile and give them a peace sign..

I have experienced the same exact thing lol. Usually I follow the Vette rules and give you what you are asking for if you look worthy but my all time favorite thing to do when I get stopped at a red light light next to someone and we both have open road when it hits green, is rev it up and tip in on the clutch like she is about to eat and then when the light turns green, I take off like I’m in 5th gear lol 😆 Of course whatever jalopy is next to you has already nailed it and blown out a quart of oil and possibly a bolt or two lol. I should be ashamed of myself but it’s so much fun or maybe I’m asking for it with a tag that says “SHZFAST” lol 😂

I raced a Polestar 2 one night from a 60 roll and it was closer than I cared for it to be, I had about a car on him by 120 but he stayed with me pretty good. Electric cars are no joke in the acceleration game. Like it or not the future is indeed fast.

Most Tesla owners want to race because most Tesla owners are a pieces of ****.

Tesla's are fast in a straight line. But they cannot corner and they are super under braked.

And the only reason Tesla's are fast is because they have a single gear transmission with something like a 10:1 or 12:1 gear reduction.

I have my ECS A to A under my hood so that Tesla better be on a full charge if the owner doesn't want to be far back in my rear view.

Some idiot in an Acura last week was taunting me on the pkwy, I didn't even look at him, just put my foot to the floor and that was that.
On the same day I saw 2 Tesla Plaids but they were just driving normal (thank heaven) Lol

I rented one when I was in Vegas in February. It's the first electric car I've driven. I was surprised on how fast it was, and think it's quicker off the line than my 2012 GS.

They want to race so they can show all the fast cars what quick is (there is a difference). Oh, and so they can blow the horn and it make a fart sound... Quick off the line and funny horn + 2 trick pony.

I don't hate them necessarily, I'd gladly take a plaid if someone handed me the keys (or cards i guess?). That being said I'd probably never spend my own money on one.

Can confirm. I have a buddy with a Model 3, and the one time we met where I had the Vette and he had his Tesla, he insisted on showing me how fast it could accelerate. His is the dual motor AWD.

And most would say Corvette owners are pieces of **** because they encounter people like you. So stop stereotyping. You make all of us look bad.

They're pretty quick and will be quicker yet, when the lighter weight battery deal comes on the production line.
Having said that, I'll never have one, my C6 will probably be my last one at my age(80).
I can't see spending that kind of money on any ride at this point anyway.

A Tesla owner tried to get me to race from a light. I said I do not do that.

He replied that he would take me anyway.

I replied, "not at Sebring".
