I've got the 7000 TL and mainly because I've got 7 vehicles and wanted it to work on them all, the ones I was concerned was my Yukon Denali XL, it weighs as much as a Sherman tank! Plus my Sierra 4X4, the others are normal sized cars, it lifts the fat ones with ease! But the 7000 TL is almost to long for the vette, it works but just bearly. I wouldn't change anything though, I love it and it lifts them really high!
7000, use it on the Vette and Silverado. I have to use a metal plate on the frame of the Quickjack though to lift the Vette as the recess where the blocks go does not line up.
We just ordered the 5000TL for the shop, seems like it covers most everything less trucks. My detailer uses the same. He recently bought the 7000 TLX to cover trucks and electric full size sedans.
I currently have ramps as I don't prefer jack stands. Contemplating the QJ only because I prefer to do all the routine maintenance on all the vehicles but my free time has become extremely limited. The expense wouldn't be worth it to me if I could only use it on one vehicle, but if I can use it on all 4, the the expense makes more sense.
This past weekend I had to change the oil in the Z, install a new front splitter on the BMW, and the GC needed a tire rotation, that I didn't get to. My wife can take it over to Discount Tire for free but that turns into a 2-3 hour trip vs me doing it in the driveway.
The Z & even my BMW are pretty easy to get up in the air and on the ramps, but the GC & Wrangler take a bit more time/effort.
Your not doing much on ramps.... Maybe change oil... Wheels not coming off, not very high up...
The Q.J is money well spent if you enjoy working on your stuff. I do it for a few reasons and saving money isn't even one of them, I just plain and simple don't want Anyone messing with my cars, I don't trust any one! You'll find reasons to work on them once you have a Q.J.
Brake jobs easy, rotate tires, etc...
The set up takes a little time but afterwards it takes like 5 minutes and the car/truck/Suv is already lifted.
I bought the 7000TL on black Friday. Didn't get a chance to put it together and use it until last weekend. Setup was a breeze. Alot of people report in the reviews that the fittings leak. I didn't have a single drip using a few wraps of Teflon tape on the NPT fittings. It took me longer to bleed all the air out then it did to unbox everything, wrap the fittings, and get it put together.I have only used it to lift our 2020 jeep cherokee so far, which was a breeze. In addition, it will be used on my 2012 Grand Sport, 2010 Focus, and 2015 Silverado 1500.
