Replacement For Accordion Air Intake Coupler?
Hey all,
Does anyone have a clue as to a good replacement for the accordion coupler that connects the throttle body to the air intake? The current one I have formed a tear in it that lets the filter fall out while driving. I believe the part number is 15839490, but it seems to be discontinued or out of stock everywhere I look. Thoughts?

You could probably just go with smooth silicone couplers, lots of companys make them in various sizes and shapes. Vibrant comes to mind but plenty of other ones out there.

I'll give that a look, thanks! I'd assume I'd just need to drill a hole for that one tube that runs from the accordion styled one?

what year car? Card style or Tube style MAF? I assume your talking about the fresh air vent that goes to the valve cover. If so it just needs to be behind the MAF so it takes in metered air.

But yeah, I'm referring to the small hole on the left side of the duct.

You have the card style if its a 12, I just drilled mine into the intake bridge itself post MAF and held it in with a rubber grommet. Lots of ways you can do it just make sure its past the MAF

I just recently purchased this one, and has a hole for the vent tube. I have a '12 as well and would be willing to part with my OEM coupler.

Did you have to do any modifications for the one you purchased? I've read that as some had to be shaved down.

I did not have to do any mods for it. It is designed for the stock air intake. It is a little harder to install it because it does not have the flexible section. I ended up letting it sit in the sun for about 10-15 minutes and it was much easier to work with.
