The seat belts on my 06 C6 are not retracting as I feel they should. Once, the belt buckle nearly got slammed in between the door. Should the seat belt hard retract once released? If so, is there a fix?

Not completely sure about the hard retract, but any time you unbuckle the belt, it should go back into it’s rested rolled position like it always does. Over the years the seatbelt mechanism can get worn and the mechanism not function as it should like it was factory new. There is a company that I used on my Honda Accord. The website is safetyrestore.com, they are out of Massachusetts. They have a great website, their customer service is great and the turn around time is great. You send them your entire seatbelt, mechanism and all and they send you back your seatbelt completely repaired. All you have to do is unbolt yours from the car which is easily done with hand tools. The prices are reasonable as well. They will even replace the webbing if needed and of course so much more. I hope this helps get your Vette back to normal.
