Damn TPMS
The car is a 2010 but new to us. Everything perfect but the TPMS keeps showing service system. Shows XX on RF and RR tires. Dealer says they don't know what to do. Suggestions??

Don't know what to do? Did they try to reprogram? My batteries died a few years ago, but haven't done anything with it. I just check the air pressure periodically and and hit the the trip button after starting the car to clear the warning

Maybe you need new sensors, or maybe EMI is interfering with sensor communications. Coms errors will definitely result in ‘XX’ being displayed. Do you have an aftermarket head unit, or have you replaced any of the bulbs with LEDs?

Attached is a document that describes how the service center should perform the TPM Relearn procedure. Take the car to your local tire shop (Discount Tire, etc.) and give them this information to attempt to reprogram the TPM. If this does not work, then you may consider having the TPM sensors replaced.

This - sounds like a communication error.
You can confirm this by referencing the TPMS light. If this flashes for ~1 minute when you start the car, this indicates a communication breakage.

Just a FYI - it's doubtful that this is a TPMS programming issue. When you start the programming procedure, and after you get the first sensor programmed, all the other sensors are erased from memory, and if you only get one to program, you end up with only the LF position reporting, regardless of which one actually got programmed. Ask me how I know. The car assumes that you are not lying to it, so if you program them physically out of order, it has no way to know - they are always reported as LF, RF, RR, LR regardless. Given that in this case, LF and LR are reporting (at least some of the time?), then all 4 must have been programmed at some time. There's no way to produce a gap in the reporting sequence by leaving out some sensors during the programming procedure.
Also, is it not the case that the high end programming tool can get the sensor to report its battery state? I know the dealership near here uses one, and they can tell me if the batteries in the sensors are OK.

Long shot here but do you have one of those Bluetooth adaptor units that plugs into the cigarette lighter so you can listen to your mobile phone music through the car’s FM radio? I installed one of these and about an hour into my drive the TPMS malfunctioned as you describe.. Turned out that the Bluetooth adaptor’s RF signal interferes with the TPMS causing problems. All I did was get rid of the adaptor, restarted the car and after several minutes of driving the TPMS reset itself and has worked fine ever since! Who would have thought?..

Did you check to make sure they are the right sensors?
GM changed the sensors during the 2011 MY run.
I just bought a set of Spyder wheels from a forum member.
I bought new sensors that work for the 2013 cars from Rock Auto.
Everything is up and running.

I used to use FM Modulator to send selected songs from my cellphone to the Radio unit as it did not have built-in Bluetooth.
It works all right, but I noticed with some FM frequencies, I get the same error relating to the TPMS. What is worse is if you keep that FM modulator connected to your ashtray when you exit the car, the FOB won't be detected because of the EMOI interference, and you would have to use the handle from the trunk to get access to the car.
Hope this helps.
