Default Taillight recommendations

Looking for some recommendations for replacement taillights for my red 2005. The assembly where the screw goes has come apart due to age, and I notice 2 other are already cracked in the same place - so time to replace/upgrade.

I like the OEM look, but am open to a more modern light that doesn’t stray too much from the original style. What have you guys used and found to be good replacements?

Thanks in advance for your info!

We have Morimoto taillights that are popular.

Morimoto XB LED:

Have them on my black C6 and looks really sharp. While you're at it, consider getting the LED side markers:

Have fun!

If you don't want to spend a ton, you can get the same design as Morimoto off ebay and aliexpress for a fraction of the cost.

Brett, there are several options and threads covering this subject. Ebay is a good place to start for finding OEM replacements. If you search the forum you'll see all kinds of pictures and feedback of different style tail lights. I like the OEM look as well, so did the diode dynamics conversion to mine. Good luck!

I have Eagle eyes on my 05 C6, and love them.

You might want to order a new 3rd brake light, LED and you can make blink when hitting the brakes 3 times, so the person behind has alert.

Just updated mine to Morimoto, I think they look really good. IMO I think red was the best choice for my JSB Z. I tried the black vinyl center but didn't like the look. Some day and night pics for you to look at:

Moris will turn off and back on at night if you hit the brake too fast. Just FYI if you go that route.

Morimoto LEDs.
If going that route, strongly recommend Cole from Vet Lights.

It really boils down to a matter of personal taste. I personally don't care for the "stepped" look on the Morimotos; I prefer the smooth look of OEM or Eagle Eyes. I put Eagle Eyes in about the time Morimotos were first hitting the market.

Thanks for all the feedback! I ended up getting Morimoto’s from Cole. I like the way they look a LOT more than I expected.
