Default Texas Speed Headers?

I’m about to buy a set of Texas speed headers online from a private party, and I am using PayPal and they’re fine with that so no worry about being scammed money wise.

Just wondering if everything looks right,

-Just the headers, no mid pipes or anything
-$300
-Had them on his 2008, I have a 05’
Just to confirm the headers are interchangeable through the LS2-LS3? It’s only the midpipe that makes them different?

Also what to look for to verify them/ what photos to ask for.

thx!

Slip fit headers to X pipes,so keep that in mind for the X pipe with high flow cats your going to need with them.

As for headers, get lots of photo's, since need to make sure they are not cracked, the welds not cracked, no major dings or dents, and someone did not bend the hell out of them to fit the last car.

So I’d need to find the correct style of midpipe(slip fit), not too worried about having a cat or not, but do you think it would have to be the same brand as the headers?

I do have a few photos from different angles and they look good, no major dings or scraping on the bottoms as they do tend to hang low. I also don’t see any major cracks but I’ll be able to tell more when I pick them up.

thx dano

Slip fit,and any muffler shop can make up up a X pipe, since they will just use a expansion or contracting mandrel to increase/decrease the Pipes OD to fit the headers correctly.

As for the glitch, getting the slip fit to seal up correctly via exhaust dope to begin with, and worse down the line if you need to pull the X pipe, muffler will need to come off, since the X pipe will need to be pulled rearward off the headers to get them removed.

As for best header connection to the X pipe, was the Pfad,

Both ends had lips that a band clamp would hold them tight, and when you need to pull the X pipe, remove the band clamp, drop the front end of the X pipe and just pull it forward; in the cases where you need to remove the torque tube cover to get into it.

05 and 08 are interchangeable on the M6. Cant speak directly for the TSPs but I got a set of LGs that were on an 08 and the entire set up was a perfect fitment.

Just a heads up, if you do a "friend or family" PayPal transaction you're not covered like a business to business deal?
