Bought these about a year ago. Available a lot of places.Bought mine at American Car Craft.
Adhesive let go. Spend hours doing it by instructions. Live in Alabama so heat in garage may be the culprit. The other sie is still good.
Anybody gone through this ?
This could be a permenant install so thinking about drops of epoxy glue along double sided tape that came installed on each piece. Do not know where to get new tape to put back.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks Just let loose after a year
3m VHB tape and add some adhesion promoter.Shouldn't have any issues. It is still holding me rear spoiler on after 3 years.Make sure you position it correctly the first as you are not going to move it!
I feel like you'll never get tape/adhesive to permanently adhear to that, considering the surface of the panel is textured and it looks like the piece you're mounting isn't true, therefore constantly applying an outward bowing force and pulling it away from the panel.
I think I read somewhere once that those panels are constantly offgassing making it even harder to get stuff to stick?

Textured door panel material is a lot different than mounting to a level smooth surface like a spoiler would attach to. Plus gravity..
The photo was only to show what I was working on.
it was installed perfectly. The other door is perfect.
Used Scotts Brite pads to scuff surface where it would align with the tape on the guards.
Used special acetone to clean and remove vinyl top coating .
Used 3M adhesive pads on the vinyl before applying. Took at least 5 hours to do both.
Stayed on for over a year.
Miracle Bond 2-component epoxy available at Sherwin Williams paint stores. Dispenses with standard caulk gun through included static mixer. Stickiest stuff on earth. Fixed exact same issue probably 10-11 years ago. Still holding strong. Driver’s door too which gets slammed shut the most often. Be sure to clamp it down for 24 hours afterwards until well cured.

Curious as to how you "clamped down" ?
I kept doors opened and used 3 wood 2x4s (cut ends at 45 degrees) wedged with cinder blocks to press against panel during curing time.
Going to try original method , spending more time prepping vinyl. Will use that epoxy if it fails again.

Used Vice Grip clamp on outside of door and the face of the kick guard. Also, just applied Miracle Bond to underside of guard, on top of the supplied tape, and pressed into position. No need to re-prep everything. I too followed the directions to a tee and still experienced adhesion failure.
