Hi there,

I posted last week regarding replacing the RV mirror lights with LED's. I ended up taking off the mirror to do the job and had the lights installed in couple of minutes. I did that after struggling with the bulb for an hour before I took off the mirror. For the record twist the mirror COUNTER CLOCKWISE about 1/4 turn and it pops off. The plug is also easier to remove when the mirror is off. So now I'm on to the vanity lights in the visor. Taking off the lense is easy, taking out the bulb is difficult. Does anyone have a trick or a tool to remove these tiny vanity lights? Thank

I wish I would have done that myself. It was difficult with the mirror still in place.

You shouldn’t need to remove the entire mirror to replace the bulbs with LED’s. The bottom cover simply pops off and on. I picked mine up from Vette lights and had a problem with getting them to stay. They did a free warranty exchange. Outstanding customer service.

I didn’t even bother with the vanity mirror lights as I heard they are a PITA to replace. Not worth the hassle. I’m not going to use them and maybe rarely my girl might.

Some people have been able to use a pic to get the bulbs out of the vanity mirror. I had no such luck. I put a small clamp on both sides of the mirror frame and then used a plastic pry bar at the bottom until it popped the 2 bottom pins up

. Slid the mirror out and was easy.
