Default Changing coolant question

I have a question when changing the coolant i keep reading about removing and cleaning the serge tank but for the lif of me I have never been able to get the tank clean as new any help is appreacated before I begin this weekend.

You probably won't get it to look new, once its stained red.
There is a method of putting bleach and pebbles in it and shaking it, but I never tried it.
They do sell new tanks [aftermarket] for about $100.

You're not trying to get it spotless...just the loose crud that might get circulated. I just pour some water in and shake the sh*t out of it.

Martha Stewart trick......
Crushed ice and shake....will remove said crud.

Did not work for me. It still looks as chitty as ever maybe next flush a new one.

This is one where either buy new or not be super picky. Usually it just won't get spotless.

I used clean some clean pebbles and distilled water with a little dish soap....cleaned up pretty good with a whole lot of shaken goin on........not perfect, but decent.

Thanks for the ideas that is what makes this place great. I am not going for clean as new I just want the crud out I think I will try the crushed ice that way if anything gets stuck in an hour it will be gone.

well I did the coolant change and used the crushed Ice to break up the crud in the tank then I pluged the holes and added 1 cup of bleach and filled with water and let it sit over night.That tookj all the staining out and the tank looks like new. Thanks for all the ideas. I love this place for all the help.
