The Clips (brackets) are on the regulator assembly, then the window sits in those clips. The window has to be positioned correctly then the clips tightened to the glass.
When I replaced my regulator, I marked the glass where the clips were located, so I would not have to realign the window so it would be in the proper location on the regulator clips to allow the window to be properly aligned to close properly.
If you did not mark the glass, then as per the pic below, there are markings on some glass where the clips go, but if not, you may have to make a minor adjustment to get the glass set in the correct place on those clips.
