Which years had this?
I recall reading some years and I belive some radio options allow playback of MP3 files from a flash drive. Am I remembering this correctly and if so when did it start and was it on all the stereo options?

I believe USB was first available in 2011, and only with the optional radio(s). Before that, you could play MP3s on CD, or use an external MP3 player through the AUX port (if equipped).

My 2013 Bose NAV will play a USB stick in the console. But it's a painfully crude implementation, like the rest of this systems features. For instance, in NAV mode the screen displays the song being played as Folder XXX Track ZZZ. Why did they even bother, what useful info does that confer?
