Something needs to be brought to attention.There's two points of view here.One is that "I'll get the C6",(hope I've pronounced it correctly).And the other is that "I'll get the performance model two years later.
There's a benefit to having a new design.The benefit is that everybody knows what you are driving. Which is a new Vette. Which is the unattainable dream of the vast majority of humans on the earth.
The new Z06,for example. Nobody knows anything,except forum members and a couple more,that it's cooler in some respects. So those owners pay for invisible features. Only you and I know.
Know what? That they can kick the butts of the non-invisible feature owners.
See? You can be first,and everybody knows. Or You can be coolest,and only we know.

i don't think that people buy the z06 or the performance model for the "cool" factor or to impress other people. most people buy the z06 for the performance

Anyone would be very happy to have a normal C6.I have a Z06,but am never going to go to the race track with it.I just want that model to have it. I'm wondering which woman wears high heels because it feels great. Which people drink "good" beer when Bud tasts fine.
There is nothing wrong with wanting Gucci glasses,or an Armani suit. A whole industry is built upon the fact that we want what we think is the best. But those two reasons;New design or invisible features, are the choices we have.

but, instead of C7... should be C6...
for some reason, GM is a good 5 yrs behind in styling and a bit late...
for example, the C5 was about 5 yrs too late.... should of cam out in 92/93.... instead of 97
