Stumbled onto an older thread discussing dash pod cluster lights.
Never realized the buttons were supposed to be lit!!
In my case, all of them are out - not sure why.
Reported fix is to replace the bulb. Not simply “plug and play”, as it has to be soldered.
Before doing that, I would rather replace the board on each side.
Checked Amazon, eBay and GM Parts Direct. Can’t find the board.
Anyone out there know if it’s available?
Thinking maybe I’m not using the right search term.
As always, appreciate the help!
I'm pretty sure I have some extra functioning pod buttons. If you can wait until next weekend I'll be home so I can check.
I'm assuming you turned the dial on the gauge cluster surround to make sure the brightness was turned up.
Thanks Jab.
The dash lights are bright so I assumed the pod lights would be in sync.
Now you’ve got me wondering if the pod lights would turn on separately from the dash lights.
it is odd that all the buttons are not lit.
Will check later and report back.
Thanks Jab.

All good Jab - checked in a pitch black garage and lo and behold, the pod lights do come on.
Arguably they are not the brightest.
I think what threw me off is that while you can see the dash lights in the daytime, you can't see the pod lights.
They're on - you just can't see them illuminated.

Pretty dim in the light of day. I had to be in a dark garage to see if my bulbs were out.
I replaced myself with some ugly soldering. For those who don't solder and don't want to pay $250 for a hard-to-find DIC switch cluster(board not sold separatley)....do this:
Buy a 10-pack of 7219 mini bulbs, About 10 bucks on Amazon
Remove trim around speedo with plastic trim tool at both bottom corners and then work fingers around to top, pulling hard
Remove pod with Phillips screwdriver
Take pod(s) and bulbs to a cell phone/electronics/computer repair shop that does solder work. Tell them to replace all 5, even the good ones, or they will fail soon.
