So after getting into car and with door close i say about 85% of the time the seat does not move to the saved "1" spot. Even if I press 1 it doesnt move.
Now if I use the forward movement switch on seat side just a little then press 1 it will move to the saved spot.
Any idea what is going on?

You are probably using the Easy Exit function.
If you are, move the seat about 1/2" forward and store that as the easy exit function.
It is a known issue that moving the seat full aft causes the auto entry program issues.

I thought the known issue was to wait in the seat until it fully stops moving back, then begin the climb out. I found this here on the forum and it has worked every time.

Hopefully doing this will fix the issue, i'll try it tomorrow and see if that works.
I had a weird problem with my egress function. It turned out that the motor position sensors were not getting the proper position, so it didn't know where it was and where it had to go to. I had to pull the motor apart and clean the sensors. It's been working ever since. Memory Seat Egress problem - CorvetteForum - Chevrolet Corvette Forum Discussion
I to had similar issue and found it was a (gray) wire to the seat motor that was pinched and and shorted out when the seat reached a specific position, stopping the seat from going to its programmed position.
Just FYI
