Default "Engine/powertrain computer/module checked"

I'm pretty seriously shopping for a C5/C6 and keep seeing this phrase on Carfax reports and am curious what it means?
  • Engine/powertrain computer/module checked
Is this because of some problem or does it just indicate some maintenance? In researching these cars here I don't recall seeing this "module" as an ongoing or common problem but am wondering why it keeps coming up on Carfax?

It probably means a routine check was made to see if there were any trouble codes stored in history.

Agree. Means no stored trouble codes when they checked with a OBDII scan tool.

In areas like mine, emission error codes will fail an inspection which will not allow the car to be registered.
