I have a 2012 Base 2LT and recently did a stereo upgrade to Apple CarPlay and a backup Camera. Everything went pretty smooth but when I unplugged the Traction Control Button to get the console out I broke it. I have been looking around for a new button but all Ican come up with is 15148444 but says it only good for up to 2011. Is this the right one or is it a different number? Anyone got one they will sell me? Thanks, John
87SAM's part number looks correct. The real trick now will be finding it. Many of the online GM resellers show that number as discontinued. Now factor in the GM strike, GM strike recovery, post Covid shortages (seemingly forever) , GM's stance on parts - a.k.a. YOYO (Your On Your Own), EV's are cool/hip - fossil fuel burners are evil/uncool/old school syndrome, Sun - Moon alignment. Whatever you wish to call it. They all lead to part issues. No - the sky is not falling. It's just where the C6 parts availability sits right now. Many C6 parts are rapidly disappearing. You have to be resourceful these days. And don't forget shortages spell more $$ for those who do have a part for sale. That $20 switch now becomes $80. Be prepared to spend more if you do find a new one.
Any GM dealer (not just Chevrolet) can do a part search and provide a dealer name, and phone number for old stock on a shelf. Armed with that info.,you can make the calls and setup a shipment. Granted, many times the part is gone, but sometimes it's not.
Amazon, Ebay - (find one of the sellers with good feedback and contact them with what your looking for), your local salvage yards, online salvage yards, swap meets, this forum's wanted to buy/sell section, etc. are all possibilities.
Are all of these perfect and certain? Nope. Just some ideas.
Sorry for the editorial. Good luck on your search -
How did you beak the button? I had my console apart this weekend and accidentally pulled the button apart. I was able to put it back together & a little dab of crazy glue to keep the pieces snapped together. It functions normally.
If you broke the tab to keep it in, just put a dab of silicone sealant under the console at the button to keep it in place.
A pic would be nice to see where it is broken.
Sadly there is no obsolete inventory on p/n 22813347. One idea might be to order the earlier p/n 15148444 which is still available. Try it, if it works great, if not maybe you can take it apart and salvage the part you need to make your 2012 piece function.
I also checked the later number for a supersession history. There were none.

I had it pressed back together but when I went to plug it in it fell apart and the plunger fell out and I can't find it.
I would assume it's got to be in the console area somewhere. Check between the carpet and the tunnel, under the seats, even just sitting under the wire harnesses.
