Map lights

Cannot make my map lights turn on. Can the bulbs be burned out? My car is 08 coupe. Always worked until recently.

Are your foot well lights working?
it's possible you hit the dash light switch with your knee

I recently had just the opposite problem, the lights wouldn't turn off. Might be the reason the previous owner replaced many batteries that kept going dead??
I removed the bulbs in my '09. Problem solved for now.

Read the owners manual. That will tell you all you need to know about the map lights.

To answer the question, yes, the bulbs can burn out, even LEDs, as I found out. But both at the same time is unlikely. If it’s not the classic dimmer **** problem, and if the other interior lights aren’t working check the fuse panel in the passenger footwell at the location CTSY/LAMP.
