Anyone know what this screw is called that holds the trunk release to the bumper? Mine somehow fell off and the button now goes in when I press it to open.
Yep, it's a plastic rivet and I think it has nothing to do with the trunk push button. I think it and several others like it are part of fastening the bumper cover to the car. I suspect, as did another forum member, that the pushbutton is at fault. Perhaps its fastening clip (or what ever) has broken. Try removing a taillight and peeking down there with the help of lights/mirrors.
