C6 Average Temps
Newbie here sorry for the clutter, anyways took my c6 out today. Was just about 50 in south jersey, decent sunny day for some driving. I was running around for an hour or 2, being that I'm a new owner. I just wanted to verify if these temps are average for a base c6. Any knowledge you have would be useful for me, thanks a bunch. Oh also the c6 in question is a '07. I did do some diligence of looking around, just wanted to verify

Your coolant temps are around 18° hotter than I would expect running steady at highway speeds especially since ambient temps were 50° or so. With an unobstructed airflow, no air bubble blocking the coolant flow, and proper coolant level you should be seeing something like 196°. The other temps are elevated a bit owing to the engine running hotter. For example, the heat exchanger for the tranny is in the rad, so the coolant is heating up the tranny fluid. The AC condenser that sits in front of the rad tends to get clogged with dirt and other debris as does the rad itself. An air bubble could be the result of a recent coolant flush and refill where the air in the system wasn’t purged correctly. My .02 worth in answer to your question.

Trash, plastic bag, something is blocking air flow through the radiator. If this were summer would possibly suspect fan even but this time of the year while driving the fan wouldn't even be on. I say there's blockage!
