I'll tell you what, my 2023 Buick Enclave has it (and so did my 2021 GMC Sierra that got stolen from my driveway July of last year), but there is absolutely no way I would ever put this in my C6 especially if it involves hiding a fob in the car. People have to be nuts to think that's a good idea, although I do use it on my Buick quite often (including with the iPhone app). I'm pretty sure this feature played a huge part in the ability for thieves to drive off with my truck in less than 60 seconds, however.

A proper system would stop the car if the car door was opened or a window smashed.
That's how a proper system works.. I had inteli start on my manual GM car using Clifford.

Thieves are spoofing fobs to make the vehicle think there's a fob nearby. And you want to leave a fob in the car that they can read and spoof directly? Good luck with that. The days of smashing windows to get into cars and hotwire them are long gone. Anything that has remote access can be hacked. Your only "system" for prevention is either non-factory tracking like Lojack since OnStar is completely worthless or a hidden fuel cutoff switch (or both).
