Default Does Vetteworks still exist

I read many old forums about Dan at vetteworks being the go-to guy for srs plugs and resistors for our cars.

no answer when I call in, ordered +$500 worth of stuff a month ago, no tracking number or contact.

Does Vetteworks still exist? Or do I need to call bank, get my money back, buy myself some resistors and try this on my own

I called and talked to hmm damn I can't remember his name but he was very helpful and I had no trouble reaching him. This was in fall and I called about shark bar templates which he sent for free.

I had no issues last May when I ordered C7 seat harnesses and all the accessories for the harnesses that he offers.

It took a few weeks longer than he said it would take but I got them and they worked.

I had an issue with my passenger seat occupancy sensor in August and called him again. He answered and provided a solution that worked. It had nothing to do with the harnesses but he knows his stuff and explained what my problem was.

My personal experience with them: I ordered their harness bar through LG Motorsports. LG never communicated they were made to order. It took close to 6 months of back and forth with LG and Vetteworks to finally get my bar. It was excuse after excuse. My take away from it was he works when he feels like it and doesn't really care about your timeline (or LG's for that matter). That being said when the product finally arrived it was great and as promised, so I guess thats the silver lining. If I had it to do again I would have spent the extra money and bought a Brey-Krause.

I ordered a shark bar and same scenario. I have called, emailed, and messaged. No luck, I most likely will be disputing the charge. They need to shut the site down if no one is running it.

Yeah its a shame because his seat modules are invaluable but... is it worth it if you order them and never get them? Id recomend going with the Brey-Krause. Order from OG racing, if they have it on their site its in stock and they ship fast.

Edit, looks like their in stock:

My experience over the last couple years - Dan at Vetteworks has always been easy to contact, very helpful, always called me back quickly and shipped product as expected. I've got to think something has happened causing this change in customer service. Whatever the reason, at least some sort of notice on the site letting customers know things may be delayed would be nice.

Update, Dan called me today, actually 3 times because I missed his call. My parts are on the way soon. I did email him, so maybe that is the best way to get a response. He was very polite and helpful over the phone.

Dan is a good dude, when it comes to parts that only HE seems to sell, ill order from him. If i can get the parts elsewhere, Ill order elsewhere. Its nothing against him, he's very helpful when you can get ahold of him and makes a nice product, but i prefer more streamlined business operations.

Dan wont intentionally screw anyone.

Is Dan here on the forums? I've called him late last week, yesterday, and today with no answer or callback after leaving a voicemail. I got some C7 seats and need a harness to put it in my car.

I’ve been trying to get ahold of him for the past three weeks, no luck. I ordered my parts in December. Spoke to him 1-2 months ago, sounded super
helpful said they’d ship in a day or two, but no luck. 4 months is too long, time to call the credit card company and get my refund. A jokes a joke.

Well ****. I wish I would have known that before I went out and bought a set of C7 seats.

Are there any other commercial options for ready-made harnesses to install a C7 seat into a C6? I really don't want to butcher the wiring.

I haven't been able to contact him for over a year. I quit trying to buy things from him.

Between this guy and Caravaggio, the entire idea of aftermarket seats and other items in these cars is not worth the trouble. I shouldn't have to work crazy hard to spend money with somebody.

Yup. I just sat in standard C7 seats yesterday, heated and cooled, wow they are really nice and comfortable, but it's not worth the trouble getting them in a C6 now. Can't get the harnesses in quick order. Plus need a way to wire the cooled seats.

My only shot is a set of Caravaggios. And for the price, I would want them exactly the way I want. Either full black leather or leather and suede, white stitch, carbon backs, ZR1 logo in the headrest. Been looking for years.

It would be nice if someone with the vetteworks harness could map out the wires and pins. I am not afraid of building a harness but I refuse to hack up my stock wiring.

All the connector info is in the factory service manuals. I have done numerous C6 seat into C5's making the C6 heated seat function and keeping the C5 telescopic column working. Posted in a C5 thread a document to follow for making your own connector.
I have some info for the 14-16 C7 seats.
