Probably so, I think Granite was a company name rather than an actual product.
it was told to me (beers were involved) like “The Granite auto finish is very clear glossy and super protective in preventing road chips. But is really @#$&& pricey”.
Sadly, that is the sum of my limited knowledge.

As for windscreen, my wife was the same way. Even with a hat on, she has long hair that would constantly fly in her face. We bought a windscreen from Windrestrictor and it cut down on buffering significantly. Even on the highway, with the windows rolled up I’ve had the car over 80MPH with the top down with minimal buffeting. A very worthwhile upgrade, and you don’t need to remove it to raise the top.
Welcome.

Well, forgot ot say i added new backup rear lights.
Here in the Netherlands a rear fog light is needed to get it trough yearly Apk examinations.
I ordered the http://sharplightinnovations.com/ wich is a dual setup with some great rear lights.
For the wind deflector https://www.cabriosupply.com/chevrol...lack-2005-2014
That was the best upgrade for open driving. Takes away the buffeting and noise for about 80%. Even open driving at the highway is comfertable now.
Interior led, and exterior leds on my wish list too.

But I cannot find this answer, can you put the top up and down without removing it ?
thanks.

I have seen those but your post is different. Yours has the passenger side equivalent !
i wondered why they were always “driver side” only ??
just a side note, I know there are 2 sides to this blind spot thingy. Adjust the mirrors properly versus use the improved mirrors.
But nobody ever seems to bring up the other side, i.e. staying out of a potential blind spot.
i am in my 60’s now and have been run off my lane (right and left) because I was in some persons blind spot.
I now hang back as a defense, until I can speed past a car.
My phobia, not yours ! 😂

”Vert” is short for convertible just like “Vette” is short for Corvette.

Best thing to do right off the bat... battery and change all of the fluids. Check brakes and definitely change the tires!!!!. Beyond that, drive it like you stole it!

Congrats on the new car in that lovely color!
I recently bought my second C6, and as I had no detailed service history, I've changed all of the lubricating fluids including coolant, new wiper blades, serpentine belt and tires. I went with Yokohama Advan (which I've had once before) which so far are doing very well. Less expensive than the Michelin PS4S (the best street summer tire you can buy) with only a small decrease in performance. I do not like RFT. Actually, the Yoko seems to be a bit better in the cold and/or wet.
I can't tell how old my battery is, and it seems to work OK, so perhaps I'll stick with it for a while. BTW, those wind blockers usually work amazingly well, it's worth the money.

I just got a response back from the vendor on the windscreen.
He stated I would have to remove it before using the power top up or down.
I double checked asking if that was for certain 4 seat cars, as mine was a Corvette.
he said it doesn’t matter.
i am offically perplexed. 🤔

Zoom in on this pic, you will see the screen there. Absolute no removal.

Sincere apologies if I sounded like I doubted you. It was more like “have they come out with a new version ? One that is more cumbersome ?!?”

Congratulations, my 09 coupe is Crystal Red also. Mine is stock as far as I know.
There are a lot of good tire choices and a relatively broad price range. I bought a set of Michelin Pilot Sport AS4 ZPs last summer and have been very happy with them. They replaced the original Goodyears that were well past their prime.
Enjoy your ride!

The weather today was amazing for top down driving, so I easily put a couple hundred miles on the car today. I had the car up to almost 100 MPH at one point, wearing a baseball cap with the top down and windows up. Not surprisingly, there was minimal wind buffeting. The added bonus with the Windrestrictor is that it's transparent, so it won't be obtrusive in the rearview mirror. It's just like looking through glass. Having one of those dark screen varieties would drive me nuts.

Congrats on your purchase and excellent color choice, I have the same.
In regards to the windscreen I have read they cut down on the buffeting in the cabin. My wife and I just wear a hat and we are good to go. I personally don’t like the looks of the windscreen so it won’t ever be in my car.
I have leds through out my car except low and high beam. No issues to report on what I have done.
