New battery resolves “Service Traction…” error
Probably also time to install the new Mechman 170 alternator sitting on the garage bench in order to keep the new battery charged. Factory alternator does not generate enough voltage (10v) under load on hot days

Hi Chase this problem for a while and in the end a new battery fixed it. Get a new battery first! I had my battery tested and they said it was fine so I changed everything else
. Then I took it to the mechanic and the first thing he did was put a battery in it fixed. If I were to buy a C6 again the first thing I would do is clean all the body grounds add a couple grounds from the engine to the body than a new battery interstate and a factory alternator. That would've saved me a lot of problems not only that I have service traction system light I also had service charging system which was fixed by cleaning grounds. I had already purchased an alternator and still got the service charging system.
