I debated going down for this just to get a Dragon run in before the repaving starts but the weathers always so dicey that weekend. Im sure ittl be a cool event though.
I always wanted to go to the Dragon, but middle of March ain’t the time
We use to go down for PITS (ponies in the smokies mustang show) every year and it seems like we might get 1 good day of driving if we were lucky. It never panned out the way we wanted it too, always would get a monsoon, or snow, or something stupid. I actually think PITS is the same weekend as EXPO this year so that should be interesting. Best time to go is early fall before the trees start to get color. Avoids most of the leaf watchers and its pretty empty out there.
I agree on the weather since it's mid March and it's East Tennessee . The event has really grown thru the years and the location and event center is a top notch facility.

We Love this event. Some years the weather is good some years not so good. We have reservations for this year. So we will just wait on the weather and see!
I'd def like to try to check it out one year. My problem is when i get down there and I know im that close I usually just end up driving and missing the event lol. Did it at Rod Run this year lol.
Short of really bad weather, will be attending to see if there's any C8 Z06's to check out in person.
Won't make the Dragon run, but may get some drone footage of them coming through on Foothills Parkway heading that direction. Always cool to see.
Weather's been great here recently. Put a few hundred miles on these roads the past 2 weeks. One trip, saw a total of 2 other vehicles in about 70 miles. Perfect time of year to be driving here. Go when the cameras aren't there is preferred timing as a local. The odd 70 degree day in February is PERFECT!!
