Hello all. Just joined and I looking to purchase a white C6. Been looking for a couple of months now but from my research, it seems there is a price premium on white C6's. Anyone know the reason? Not many made? Owners keeping them so less are for sale? It seems dealers have them priced well above Kelly Blue Book pricing and they are willing to deal at all. I will just keep looking to find one. Hopefully I will find a good one soon for a reasonable price!

Most years, Arctic White was the fewest color made that year.

Welcome. Keep the faith and keep looking. I found my 13 GS with the 60th anniversary package half the country away. It had everything that I wanted, so I jumped on it. If memory serves me correctly, someone on this forum let another member know of an Arctic White C6 GS at either Corvette World or Corvette Warehouse in Dallas. Unknown if it is still available. Best of luck in your search.

They don't have it anymore. I saw the Facebook post when the new owner picked it up.

But one is bound to pop up eventually. I think anything in California would be priced higher, so expanding the search would definitely be required. I was looking nationwide when I found my Grand Sport right here close to me that just suddenly popped up for sale on this forum.

Because white Corvettes are the best color. I'm biased though, lol.

Joking aside, usually red (various shades) and black are the most produced each year.

A little history... I believe all of the '53 where white. The 1 millionth and 1.5 millionth Corvette were white.

Another example is they only made like 300 or so white Z06 in 2007 - Ron Fellow edition (no white Z06 in 2006, 2008, 2009). Then in 2010 - 2013 you could get white Z06
Kinda the same thing in the C5. Only 2001 had white Z06 and like 300. No white Z06 in 2002, 2003, 2004.

Anyway... keep searching one will pop up. Just be ready to buy it.

Best of luck,
Jason

I suppose you could also give a little more information specifically what white C6 you are looking for.

Are you looking for a base, Z06, GS, ZR1?
Do you want a manual or automatic? If automatic then no Z06 or ZR1.
Do you want coupe or convertible? If convertible then no Z06 or ZR1. You could look for a 2013 427 Convertible.
Any year model? 2005 - 2007 = LS2 2008 - 2013 = LS3 for the base and GS)
Z51 package?

I wanted a 2012 or 2013 White GS w/ Auto, Titanium Seats, NPP exhaust. Talk about searching and searching for the correct one.

I recently bought, a new to me C6, because my 122k miles, xlnt condition, '08 was totaled by my insurance. My son in law got it back on the road for less than $2k in parts and a little labor. But that's another story.
I wanted a newer convertible, manual trans, blue, silver, gray, etc. Did not want black, white, red, and most of all, tweedy bird yellow.
This turned out to be a rare combination.
I searched for about a month and found a cyber gray with black top '09 with 53k miles in Mesa AZ. 300 miles/6 hrs from me.
You may have to travel and/or change your criteria.

You menotned proced above Kelly Blue Book in your original post. All you can use that for is a gauge as these cars are selling above the private or dealer party prices listed. Best thing to do is fugure out your checklst of must haves and search for that car only. Then you can compare prices that would atualy make sense. Price is also going to be dictated by state or region. Since you live in California you need to make sure it has not be modded in a way that it will not pass your inspections.

This one just popped up today. Don’t know what your parameters are, but it meets the two that I know of, it is a C6 and it is white.

Wrapping is always an option! I considered that when my Inferno Orange Corvette arrived in Victory Red. (Only 1 Inferno Orange in the country at the time in my budget and Texas dealer wouldn't take a Wisconsin bank's check)

But the red has grown on me a lot!

You could've always done a bank to bank wire transfer. I've done that before.

That’s what I did as well. It was certainly a journey of discovery for me. Satisfied now, though!

One more for you that just popped up on my browser. IMO, the absolute best looking Arctic White version of the C6. I just looked at this as it came in and did not look at all of the pictures, but it appears the air dam is a bit hinky. Much closer to you that the previous one I sent from NC, but if you look at any of these be darned sure to do a thorough investigation. Good luck.

The dealer in Texas recommended a wire transfer... The bank in Wisconsin, credit union actually, said they will not do that because once they hit "ENTER" on the keyboard, there is no going back. So if the dealer in Texas screws me, there's nothing the bank could do. They explained it to me as they're doing me a favor... Who knows, too late now, and i am not upset.
