I’m looking into upgrading my suspension to lower the wheel gap a bit and better handling. I wanted to see what most of you guys are running…lowering bolts or coils? If you are running coils can you indicate which brand and if you recommend it. Appreciate it!
I would advise against lowering bolts. I bought a set and less than 2,000 miles had to replace them because the rubber on the base just deteriorated. There are another style that swivel, but know a couple guys complaining that they start squeaking. I ended up going with OEM replacements, and trimmed a layer off, and using Bilstein B6's. I set my ride height at what I felt was perfect, but still could go a little lower if I wanted.
Better handling? Are you actually getting close to the handling limit? Not on the street. If you think you are, believe me, you are not.
If you're doing it for looks, save the money and do lowering bolts. And if you're not road racing it, you're doing it for looks.
Mostly going for the look, but wouldn't mind the improved handling. I was definitely leaning towards the bolts but the feedback seems 50/50…The reason for this post.

wow that drop looks perfect. How long have you been running this setup?
I bought the car in January 2021, and one of the rear spring bolts was broken and was just a metal bolt hitting the rear lower control arm. The OEM spring bolt adjusters were not available and were on back-order. I had no other option but to order a set of lowering bolts. I researched and went with a brand that had the best reviews from a reputable company. I started hearing a metal sound at the rear about 9 months later and put the car on the rack and saw the rubber was gone on 2 of the lowering bolts. One of the front, and one in the back. Thankfully by this time the OEM ones were available. So been running this setup since October of 2021 without any issues. When these do wear out though I will probably replace with coil-overs so I won't have to worry about ever again. The height I have set is front: 26-¼" rear: 27" from center of wheel well to ground.

where did you purchase OEM replacement bolts from?
I bought mine locally from a place that is no longer open called, Frank's Vettes. I know Corvette Central, and West Coast Corvettes sell them, but looks like they are on back-order again.
Also...... keep in mind when you replace/adjust the bolts. Take your car for a drive around the block. When the wheels come off the ground, the suspension will be bound when the wheels come back down and be in positive camber position. So the wheel gap will be higher until you drive it. After a short drive you can measure the height correctly. If you need to make adjustments you will have to repeat the process until you reach the right height you are happy with. Then get a good alignment afterward.
And remember that the bolts are to set corner balance, not to just slam the car down. So yes you lower the car down, but want to keep the corner balance the same with the car lower down as well.
