Default Rocker panel sliders

With Vettes being so low, what are C6 owners using to guard against the bottom of the rocker panels from scraping? I have looked at some hard plastic sliders and aluminum ones as well. Which are better or do others have better ideas?

I think you might be looking at the jacking pucks, plastic or aluminum. I think I have seen some long aluminum rails to go under the rockers but they are not common and were pretty expensive.

I don't think I've seen people put anything like you're describing on their car.

And where the hell are you driving that you need "rock sliders" on your C6. It isn't a Jeep.

I know the car sits low but I have never worried about scraping a rocker. Then again I don’t treat it like a monster truck.

There are scuff pads for front splitters but I haven't ever felt the rockers needed them.

Just thinking about the rare occasion when I encounter a speed bump. Although I would go slow and diagonal over one, it was a concern. I already know about the jacking pucks and have some. Also, my car is not lowered but it is a concern of mine.

C6 Prodigy, thank you for the response. Yes, those are the rods I was thinking of. Has anyone here had any experience with them?

It would have to be a ridiculously high speed bump for the C6 to bottom out. Standard height C6s aren't that low. If you're worried about just raise it up a little with the stock bolts.

you can try some self adhesive body side molding along the length...
I use that on the underside of my carbon splitter in front and its taken many hits and scrapes (instead of the expensive APR splitter with undertray)

Thank you everyone for responding. I will try to raise it a bit using the stock bolts. That should help.

I had my C6 for over 7 years lowered all the way on stock bolts and never scraped the rockers. Now the splitter and air deflector under the front is a different story.

I have the aluminum Elite Engineering rails. They work great. Likelihood of scraping is low but it can happen on certain curbs and entrances to parking lots.

The aluminum rails have pads for jacking so you never need to use the jacking pucks again.

I have had them on my car for almost 5 years.

Being poor, I ordered the plastic ones this week. Should be here in a couple days. Will report back then.

My 2007 Z-51was lowered to the max on cut stock bolts and never scraped the rockers. I would worry about your splitter.

Ordered from Amazon 4-4-24. Said they would arrive 5-4-24. Got them on 4-10. installed today and they are what I expected. Pretty much invisible. Only hang down about 1/4" lower than the rocker panel. Glad I did not spend the $$$ for the aluminum ones. These will get the job done.

My car came with the aluminum ones and I haven't had any issues with them. It's also nice to know that the car can be jacked up easily without having to worry about incompetent people breaking something.
