C6 starting problem

Fob batteries rarely fail suddenly, the battery starts to weaken and the first thing that you notice is the fob is not picked up by the C6 antenna system to allow you to gain entry, although you can usually hit the unlock button successfully to enter the car. After checking the battery voltage (should be 3.3v new) you need to confirm that you inserted the battery properly in the fob, also, you should have cleaned the battery contacts and made sure that the contact tension is sufficient to make good contact with the battery.
If the fob is in your pocket when you approach the car, you should be sure to not have any other electronic device in the same pocket (phone, etc.) as these can interfere with the signal. Also, is the car is parked in a location you don't normally use that is near anything that would pose radio wave interference?
Any messages on the DIC in your instrument panel? Before you try to start the car, you should hear some subtle clicking noises coming from the center dash just above the radio where the RCDLR is located?
Did you check the battery voltage after the 3-4 hours and failed start to be sure it registered 12.4+ volts.
Try to give us as much detailed information as you can concerning the problem as there are several items that can be responsible for a no-start condition.
