What's your preference?
Have a 2012 Grand Sport, red in color. Wanting to put ZR1 style tail fin and side skirts. Which would look better?
1- gloss black
2- carbon fiber
3- red
Car is otherwise stock. Thoughts? I'm leaning to gloss black as Im going to wrap the halo in gloss black and tint windows. TIA.

Rear spoiler in body color, side skirts gloss black. Not a fan of a black or cf rear spoiler as it looks tacked on.

My vote: Red
Though decision but was swayed by our co-member's above post that other colors look "added on" not factory.
However, all carbon is a style many like and I believe an OEM factory option.
The gloss black, maybe not for the spoiler, but for the rocker, easy to repair.
Good luck with your decision.

I'd recommend body color rear spoiler since that is factory look. For side skirts, zr1 had carbon fiber while z07 had black. I'd go with carbon fiber. Also, I'd have to assume you are getting a front splitter to match the shirts. I think it looks awkward without that.

I'm not saying it looks bad, rather the opposite, its cool as ****, but I think you'd have to admit it is tacked on.

I like the rear spoiler in body color and the side skirts and ZR1 style front splitter in gloss black. This is especially so if you are wrapping/painting the halo.

Jabcat, I love your car and it is easily one if not the best looking C6 on the forum. But I have to disagree w/ your comment that a black spoiler looks "tacked" on. The hood of your car is black/carbon fiber but looks more tacked on than a black spoiler, IMHO.

I've just never been a fan of non-body color trunk lip spoilers. There's nothing else back there in that color so it looks obviously aftermarket.
I'm struggling right now finding a slightly larger rear trunk spoiler for my M2 because they're either all cf or now a few gloss black versions have come available. I purchased a cheap gloss black one and will have it painted body-color before I install it.

Go yellow and make it look like Ronald McDonald.
Jokes aside, you need to deal with the chrome wheels first.

Thanks for the compliments. The hood bulge is carbon fiber, and while I've come to like it, I agree it 100% looks tacked on (because it is). If it wasn't needed to clear the supercharger, the original B96 Carbon hood looked much better.

Jabcat, you have to look at the whole enchilada, lol You have a partial black hood, mirrors, black wheels, black decals on the doors, blacked out side markers, after market black headlights, tail lights, black license plate, the word Calloway. So you can't say nothing is black on the back end of the car, lol. You have black on every panel / corner except the upper rear deck. Anyway, in my opinion, a black or carbon fiber ZR1 Extreme type spoiler would look awesome.
