Backwards compatible Steering Wheel?
Hi so I decided to order my buddy a carbon fiber steering wheel for his 2007 C6 Corvette and made the grand mistake of not checking the year of vehicle the wheel I bought works with. So the wheel I got is for the 2012-2013, I unfortunatly bought it online, and can't cancel the order, I can take my chances on returning it however I'm wondering if anyone knows that the issue would be with putting that wheel on a 2007, its a manual so theres no paddle shifters, and the only difference I can see is that theres buttons on the left for bluetooth controls but I assume that just means he'd have buttons that don't do anything. If anyone has done this before or knows if it would work please let me know, thanks!

Yes, base C6 steering wheel from 2006 up, all the same, so can pull the items off your old wheel like pods and shift levers, to add to the new wheel.
As for left hand pod controls, check your clock spring to wiring harness for the needed wires or if you need to add them, and if you do have left hand for radio and phone on the new wheel, then not hard to uses them for after market radio that has input for the controls.
