I've had my 2011 Grand Sport for just over 10 years, and put about 50K miles on it. I daily drove it to the office for years. It's been mostly bulletproof. Literally the only thing I've had to do in 10 years that wasn't normal maintenance was the fuel pump recently. And yeah, that job sucked. But at this point, I no longer own a late model Corvette - it's nearly 15 years old and stuff is gonna happen. i would buy any year Grand Sport - to me the most important things are the mileage and history. And relative to other 15+ year old high performance cars, it's relatively easy to wrench on and parts are mostly available and inexpensive.

I have a 2013 C6 bas coupe. 6 speed, 3lt, Z-51 brakes, ZR1 rear spoiler, chrome wheels. 154,800 miles. Mine was made in May 2012, an early run C6, number 327 down the line. I have had ZERO problem's. I do my own oil changes and other preventive maintenance issues. Last summer I had all fluids changes and new belts put on at a corvette shop. I had just had a right knee replacement and was not mobile enough to crawl under the car even with it on my quick jack.
2013 is the most trouble free year since it was the 9th year of production. I consistently get 28 mpg on the highway with cruse set 78 o 80. I have only replaced oil, oil filter, cabin filter, tires, wiper blades ( yes it is driven in the run on vacations), I do the ranger method of changing the clutch master fluid, I have only used Rejex on the paint and it really shines.
It has been the most trouble free vette I have owned. I am now 80, so it will be my last vette until I can no longer drive.

Thank all of you guys for your help, I bought a used first year C4 and that car was a real piece of work. I was young and dumb when I bought that car and did little research so I just want to make sure I don't make the same mistake twice when buying a C6 but, from the amount of research I've done I'm positive I'm safe buying a Grand Sport.

My 13 GS has 177,000 miles on it. The only big expence was a torque tube at over 170,000. I drive it all over the country, I will be doing power Tour in a couple weeks.

I have a 2012 GS Carlisle Blue. I bought it a few years ago with 20k miles and the only major issue I had was the harmonic balancer “wobble.” I replaced it with a Powerbond. No other issues.
