Convertable top problem
The convertible top will go down into the truck. When I try to raise it, it only goes half way up and then stops. There is a humming sound in the motor. I was advised to me tp tightened the straps on the top I thought that might have been the problem. It did not do work. Has anyone got an idea how to fix this problem.

There is a limit switch in the passenger side behind the carpet. Could be it got dislodged.
I am sure you are aware the parking brake must be on and the windows indexed properly or it won’t work.
You can look in the owners manual and it tells you how to relieve the pressure so you can close it.
