I like it on one hand and not crazy about it on the other. I haven't seen this much, I like Jake, and the black goes with the rest of your black, so I like it for that and wouldn't be in a hurry to get rid of it. But I've always been a full-stripe or nothing-at-all kinda guy. We'll see what others continue to say. In the end, it's your ride and you do what you like. It would be lame if all our cars were the same. Great lookin' car whatever you do.
I like it. I think the black breaks up all of the orange. I'd suggest wrapping the halo. I know the Z06 don't have a removable top, but the "targa top" section is black. Is that paint, vinyl, carbon fiber?
If you removed the Jake, would you want the hood to just be all orange, or would you put another piece of vinyl on it in the same shape, but just black?

It is a z07 car with the carbon package. The roof is painted carbon fiber from the factory.
If the jake goes, it is not going to be replaced with anything but ppf.
I kinda agree with Chukman about the “full stripe or nothing at all“. And I would prefer actual 427 emblems as opposed to stickers. So I probably would strip the Jake and put real 427 emblems on it. But I would have probably lived with it for about a week before touching it.
Just to be sure.
EDIT; You know, after looking at it again… It totally goes with the rest of the way you have the car done up. Compliments the rest of the black. Grew on me quick.
But I would still prefer an actual 427 emblem. Put them on mine and I like it.
At the end of the day, it all boils down to what you feel like looking at every time you see it.
Agreed, since your unsure: leave it for a bit so you don’t have to hassle with the PPF. If it doesn’t grow on you, remove later. Congrats on the new hood
I dont hate it but I agree it would look cleaner without. I also think wrapping the halo would help. I would try that first then see how you feel about it. I agree though, ditch the 427 decal and leave it blank.
I like it. I would wait to see if the clear bra needs replaced later. It's also not unheard of to pull off ppf and have paint come with it or at least get imperfections.
Very nice looking. Aesthetics are verrrrry personal, I would have gone with the same color except for a slight metal flake accent/mix. Enough to catch light, sun, dark for a difference. Oh, and no logos…my car.
