every corvette enthusiast should familiarize themselves with the story behind the Jake logo/mascot. Corvette Racing has a very proud racing history.
Albeit... maybe not so much with the current C8 gen...at least not yet, out of the box, or perhaps ever again (and that may be more of a political and rules issue). Nonetheless, there's still a discreet Jake on the sides of the diffusers on C8.R GT3 cars...despite Corvette only being a semi 'official' Corvette factory team now...although still fielded by Pratt & Miller as always.
Anyway, hard to believe that any Corvette owner can be so oblivious to their car's racing legacy.
Personally, I'm not a big fan of tattoos on beautiful women (too many, anyway) or all kinds of hokey graphics on cars, but the Jake skull and story behind it are something that is part of Corvette now and is something to be proud of. It represented the 'Take no Prisoners' attitude towards winning
I’m not a fan either. Anytime I’m at a car show and see a Corvette with that on it, I walk right by. It makes the car look cheesy and cheap in my opinion.
You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but I'm glad that most car enthusiasts don't hold the same opinion. My car had 7 show wins over a spring and fall season the first year I started showing the car. I like Jake; I think it adds another dimension to Corvettes.

I guess the c6 zr1 looks cheesy and cheap then to you since Jake is on the stock air intake.
I've always thought it was a cool little nod to Corvette racing... I think some folks get a little carried away with it though putting it on every inch of the car they can. I put one on my fusebox cover as a tribute to my uncle (He loved Corvettes and never got to own one unfortunately).

Hmm...probably more relevant to the racing or track enthusiast than to waxers hardparked at the show'n'shine in jorts 😜
amen to that, long live jake... also lol at the anti-tattoo nonsense... ya'll need some culture
While I can see the connection with Jake and the Corvette brand....
Putting a tattoo on your face or a nose ring or tongue ring or whatever else you're doing to permanently alter yourself in an attempt to impress someone does nothing to make you culturally enlightened....It might shed light on other issues though...
