Lifters should be a must although alot of people dont. The stock GM lifters dont play nice with the 660 springs. I'd recommend going to a Johnson short travel. Also all the obvious cam stuff (springs, valve seals, retainers, ect.) Trunion upgrade should be considered while your there. The key is stabilize the valvetrain. Pushrods will depend on preload of the lifter so order those last so you can measure for them properly. All that aside may as well throw a good balancer on it since you have to take it off anyway.

In addition to what SS wrote, I'd add a hi-vol oil pump.

Its fairly mild but even still. Save yourself alot of headache later on and do it all now. Lifters, Pushrods, Oil pump, the whole nine... Got a buddy currently dealing with a lifter collapse on an lsx block, lifter got mushroomed by the cam and destroyed the bore. Unfortunately when that happens your options are either to sleeve the bore with an insert or trash the block. GM has been settling for the lowest possible bidder for lifters for a long time. Back in the day it was all we had but now theres so many good aftermarket lifter choices that your just asking for trouble with a GM lifter.

I’ve had these sitting for a little bit but if you search my exact ones it recommends another cam kit that should work on ls2.

There's a few different options but Johnson Short Travels are the ones most folks are going with now. Morel also offers a few.

No real such thing as an LS2 cam. LS1 LS2 LS3 LS6 use the same cams in the aftermarket.
