2008 base vette, stock height. When backing out of the driveway at home I scrape the front lip.
Looking for guidance as to which way to go.
protekt, scrape armor, sliplo, protect wheels, fangs?
I am thinking probably something like the scrape armor but am asking for input from people who have actually used the products.

Save your money...go in and out of your driveway at an angle

If you add crap to the bottom, all you're doing is reducing clearance. Now when it hits you're "saving the splitter" and instead putting upward pressure on the bumper cover, the radiator support, etc. Enough flex in those parts and they break at some point. The whole idea of adding protection to the bottom of the splitter is for those who occasionally can't figure out they're not supposed to run over parking stops. It's not a cure-all for lack of clearance.
Standard base 2008 did not have a splitter. It does have an air dam. I would therefore assume that is what is scrapping. Confirm if that is what the problem is. If that is the case then don't worry about it. If it is your front bumper then you might try what @PMPerformance suggests.
My base coupe scraped the driveway even at an angle so when I got my grand sport and Z06, I went to the lumber store and got two
planks 2”x 8” and 8 feet long (I have a crappy driveway entrance.) I haven’t scraped anything since.
I did something I thought I'd never do as I'm a 100% purist.
I took off the side air dams, all they do is direct air to the front brakes. I don't do any competition driving events.
The center dam flexes very easy. You don't even notice their missing.
Problem solved!!!

Exactly the same with me. Even though reading that other owners have done this, I resisted since buying my car in '08. But after replacing 3 corner pieces over 15 yrs, I just left them off.
I went on a spirted group ride in the local mountains in 100 deg. weather yesterday, and my temp. gage stayed in the normal range.
I got these years ago. Gutter ramps made from ground up old tires. I can not find the original info sheets. I know I dod not pay the $500 plus of the home depot site.
Could you post pictures. I have the same problem. I just purchased the Bridjit and still hit. I was thinking of adding 3/4" plywood on top of that to make it a little wider. It makes me sick every time I hear it even though it's just the rubber air dam.
Scraping the air dam underneath the front of the car is normal. Mine scrapes every time I enter and exit my driveway.
Refer to Section 9-18 of the owners manual:
Front Air Dam
The vehicle is equipped with a front air dam which has minimal ground clearance.
Under normal operation, these components will occasionally contact some road surfaces (speed bumps, driveway ramps, etc.). This can be heard inside the vehicle as a scraping noise. This is normal and does not indicate a problem.
I think this happens to everyone, I've nicknamed my car SCRAPE. It's the stares you get from people on the sidewalk or going over speed bumps in shopping malls that gets me.
