The back on my 2006 C6 broke. I ordered a set of used seats from a Miami Salvage yard. The plugs are different. The new seats are supposed to be heated with all the power features. Have they sent me the wrong replacement seat? Can I replace the broken seat Back with the new seat and use the base from my old seat? This has become a nightmare. This is my daily driver. the harness numbers are the same. The top picture is my new seat, bottom is the old one.
Somewhere here there is a fix for the seat back I'm thinking (if its the reclining function).....try finding that....you might can use parts from other seat to fix the original...I could be dreaming though...
edit for read the post again...There might be adapters sold that allow the heated function (plug and play)....again that info is here..(I think) I'm old though..good luck
So I'm taking apart my seat and remove the upper skin. After removing the Foam (Which is in need of repair) I look at the seat back folding mechanism and find that this Bolt (T40)
with a 13 MM nut on back is quite loose. This caused the pin to slip and let the seat fall backwards. Added a bit loctite and cranked it back together. Seat back was not cracked or broken. Now I have a pair of extra seats to get rid of.
