Hello Guys I'm thinking pulling my corvette out of deep sleep tomorrow. When I hook up the battery the alarm will go off. how can I stop the horn from blowing as soon as possible?

The horn has never gone off when I’ve reconnected the battery. But, the other day I accidentally hit the alarm button on the fob. Pressing the unlock button turned it off.

I just went through a situation with my Z06 and the battery where it got disconnected and reconnected multiple times and the alarm had never gone off. That’s one thing I was afraid of but it never happened. Sounds like you might have some other issue. Same when I replaced the battery on my 2010 grand sport. No alarm. I’ve done it with both the doors open and being closed and still the same results. Maybe the passive lock setting on the DIC? I turned all that crap off when I got the car. Got tired of hearing the horn.

I only set my alarms off twice. Once in my 05 when I reached in and unlocked the door from the inside and opened it from the outside, and it went off.
And the other time I set the alarm off is when I put groceries in the back hatch of the Z06 without unlocking the car with the fob first and the hatch didn’t close all the way so when I pushed it to finish closing it the alarm went off. Apparently it thought it was locked down already and it wasn’t.
So, check the DIC. You might want to turn some of those options off. It may help your situation. With everything in full “on mode“ the car becomes overly sensitive to everything. It’ll even lock your *** out if you’re not careful. I’ve read the horror stories.

If it goes off, use the unlock button on the key flob. If it is already unlocked, hit the lock button, then unlock..

I just hooked up the battery. The horn started blowing. Thanks for the advice. I hit the unlock button and it stopped blowing. When I put the car away I always disconnect the battery and leave the hatch open a tad. Thanks again.

I second this, its the end-ish of July! (btw my GPS is still working good with your Pioneer to OEM antenna adapter!)

The most mine sat was 3 weeks in January. It lets me know it's too long when it starts showing small KR at WOT!

No doubt, up by me my season is a max from April to October (and April and October is pretty variable for snow). If I waited until the end of July I would possibly be getting only 2 months of driving
